Northwestern Online Directory Gets an Update

Northwestern IT completed its upgrade to the University’s Online Directory system on Friday evening, June 2. While the project’s primary objective focused on improving the back-end technology, the campus community will notice some subtle enhancements to the user interface.

Specifically, users visiting the updated Online Directory web pages will experience a refreshed look and feel that further aligns with Northwestern brand standards, minor content updates to simplify the page’s language, and users logged in can now view their current Wildcard photo (visible only to them).

On the technical side, the modernized solution allows quicker modifications to meet current and future needs, improves system reliability, offers access to new features and capabilities, and reduces time spent detecting issues due to improved logging tools.
