Technology Support During Winter Break

Northwestern IT is committed to ensuring that staff across our unit can enjoy time away during the winter break as broadly as possible. At the same time, we recognize our organization offers essential services that need to continue 24/7. With that in mind, support for Northwestern services continues, and staff will be available during the break to assist, as needed, with essential services and critical support areas.
From December 23 through January 2, the campus community can contact 847-491-4357 (1-HELP), which will provide access to support staff who are on-call for urgent matters. Escalation will occur to the respective staff, as required. Thank you to everyone who will be on-site during this period or monitoring and responding to critical issues remotely. Our normal operations will resume on January 3, 2023.
Before contacting 1-HELP, please consider visiting the new IT Service Management Portal, designed to help users find the IT information, resources, and support they need. The portal is a gateway to four essential areas of IT assistance: IT Service Catalog, IT Knowledge Base, Technology Support Tickets, and IT Service Status.
