Northwestern IT Change Advisory Board (CAB) Meeting Schedule Update

Beginning September 29, Northwestern IT’s Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings are moving from Tuesdays to Wednesdays as part of ongoing efforts to improve information technology service management and delivery. As part of Northwestern IT’s standard change management process, the CAB meets weekly to review, discuss, and approve technology systems and services changes.
What’s changing?
- Beginning September 27, the deadline for request for change (RFC) approval is moving from Mondays at 4 p.m. to Mondays at 6 p.m. RFC submission standards and change categories will not change at this time. CAB members can review the Change Management PowerPoint Presentation, shared during the September 24 CAB meeting, which includes the Change Category Matrix and more information about the schedule change.
- Beginning September 28, Tuesdays will be devoted to reviewing RFCs for the week and any unsuccessful changes and major incidents from the previous week.
- The IT Change Manager will consult with change requestors as appropriate in preparation for the CAB meeting.
- Beginning September 29, CAB meetings will occur Wednesdays at 9 a.m.
